Books
Lee's regarded as one of the world's best-selling photography authors. It's hard to put a figure on just how many copies of his books have sold, but apparently it's well over half a million. That's a lot of books. Not just in English either, but pretty much every European language as well as American, Australian, Russian, Chinese, Korean…
The tally of titles is around 18 so far, and a re-write of his best-selling The Complete Guide to Night & Low-light Photography is about to go to the printers. Like hangovers and income tax bills, more will surely follow.
Just in case you're chasing the complete set and are missing one or two, here's the back catalogue. Quite a few are no longer in print but apparently he squirreled a few away to show to his grandkids. So if you're really desperate and willing to pay over the odds for a signed 1st edition, drop him an email. Just remember that if you do, there will probably come a time when you turn on your TV and he's the one featured in the latest Yellow Pages TV ads. It'll probably go something like this...
"Erm, I'm looking for a copy of The A-Z of Creative Photography by Lee Frost. It's very old. I don't suppose you have one do you?"
"Oh, you do. That's splendid. Could you keep it for me? The name? Ah yes, it's Frost - Lee Frost".
